"Fairfield Ledger", Thurs., June 2, 1864, Pg. 2, Col. 3

THE FORTY-FIFTH ON THE WAY. On Saturday morning last the 45th regiment Iowa Infantry, left Keokuk for, it is supposed, Helena. The regiment was fully organized, and presented a fine appearance as it marched to the levee. So says the "Gate City".
