Dear Mrs. WHITMARSH,

Sorry for the delay in answering your letter.... Here is my side of the SHUFFLETON tree. My mother's mother was Naomi JONES SHUFFLETON. Mama's name was Isabella Anna and she had a full sister whose name was Melissa Ann SHUFFLETON.... My mother told me when she and Melissa Ann were babies they went back to her Grandmother JONES and she never saw her mother again because they came to Calif. and both died and were buried out here.... We visited Old Shasta and Hugh took us out to an old cemetery and showd (sic) us two graves and said it was my mother's mother and father (stepfather?)......
