HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING..... Mr. Wm. SULLIVAN read a paper on John J. SMITH, who came to this county in 1837 and was one of the three commissioners to fix on the site of Fairfield, entered five thousand acres of land in the county and was interested in the welfare of the county in those early days.....
