Married, on the 24th ult. (sic - Dec. 24, 1863, in Jefferson County, License #2338), by A. R. Fulton, County Judge, Young S. PEARSON, of this county, to Margaret YOUNG, of Van Buren County.

(Brother of Silas PEARSON; see Page 213, Vol.2, "Fulton's History" (... of Jefferson County). Their father, Sampson PEARSON, died in Nodaway Co., Mo., on 5 Jan. 1898. Silas PEARSON buried Fell Cemetery, also a sister, Mrs. Amos TAYLOR.)

Young PIERSON, formerly of this county, and a member of Co. E, 2d Iowa Infantry, was in our city Monday. He resides at Stansbury, Mo., and is commander of Marion Post, No. 119, G.A.R..

From the National Archives, he was born in Allen Co., Ind.; died 6 Aug. 1903. Children living May 4, 1898: Alda R., born Oct. 26, 1864; Wilber C., May 6, 1871; Nora E., June 8, 1874....

[Transcriber's note: The 'G.A.R.' is the Grand Army of the Republic, the fore-runner of the American Legion.]
