MANNING, Joseph, farmer, Sec. 6; owns 213 acres of land; born in Clermont Co., Ohio, in 1811. Married in 1838 Miss Susan KEEGHLER; has three children living -- William C., David W., and Daniel B..

Came to Iowa in 1848, and, by industry and good management, is now the possessor of a beautiful home and one of the best farms in the township. Mr. MANNING's son, Harvey M., was in the army nearly three years; died in the service, and is buried at Pensacola, Fla.; he was a prisoner for seven months. P. O. Libertyville.
