Fairfield - The other four children of the Raymond J. Kessel, Jr., family were taken to the University hospital at Iowa City Wednesday afternoon for polio treatment.

Two other members of the family, Jean, 3, and Johnny, 1, were taken to Iowa City Monday when it was learned all six children in the family were suffering from what was described as a light case of polio.

The other four members of the family, David, 6; Anabel, 5; Michael, 4, and the baby, Charles, two months old, have failed to respond to treatment at home and the doctor decided today they should all be taken to Iowa City.

Arrangements for their entry in the hospital were completed and the parents started with the children shortly before 2 p.m.

The Kessel family lives two miles east of Fairfield across from the airport.

Mrs. Kessel said reports from Iowa City regarding the first two children who entered the hospital said they are responding to treatment, their temperature is back down to normal and there are no signs of permanent paralysis.
