Chas. A. DOLE, son of Joseph R. & Maria E. (ARMACOST) DOLE, married 31 Mar., 1877, at Abingdon, Jefferson County, Iowa, Mary Harriet McCULLOCH, daughter of John & Angeline (HILL) McCULLOCH.

Note: Jefferson County Marriages gives a marriage date for these two as April 4th, 1877, License #4728. Most likely this was reported in the paper some time after the fact, and perhaps March 31st was the day they applied for the license.
