MYERS, J. L., M. D., southwest corner square, Fairfield; born in Fluvanna Co., Va., March 20 1814; moved to Burlington, Iowa, in 1837; to Fairfield in 1846. Married Sept. 27, 1831, FRANCES BELL, daughter of REV. L. G. BELL; his second wife was MARY RAMSEY, to whom he was married April 5, 1855; third marriage, to ELIZA KOONS, Sept. 8, 1859; had seven children by his first wife—DAVID G., WILLIAM H., CHARLES F., CAROLINE, ED. A., MARGARET E. and GEORGE H.; four by his third wife—J. L., ELLA, SHERMAN T., and MARGARET.
