A. BARTOW, farmer, Sec. 30, P.O. Perlee; born in Harrison Co., Ohio, Feb. 11, 1821; came to this county in April, 1851. Married Miss M.J. McCormick in Mahaska Co., Iowa, Aug. 14, 1851; she was born in Jefferson Co., Ohio, Nov. 3, 1827 . . . . .Mr. Bartow's father, George Bartow, was born in New York; moved to Harrison Co., Ohio; married Miss Matilda Picken; moved to Iowa in 1851; had three children - - A. Susanna, who married James H. Baker; she died in 1854; he served in the late war; G. P. served in an Iowa regiment . . . . .Mrs. A. Bartow's father, James McCormick, married Martha Peoples, in Ohio; they moved to Iowa in 1851.
