ELWOOD JOHNSON, farmer, Sec. 9; P.O. Pleasant Plain; born in Highland County, Ohio in 1843; moved to this county with his parents in 1849. . . . . His father, Barclay Johnson, an early settler of Jefferson County, was a native of Virginia, born in 1792; married Sarah Barrett in Highland Co., Ohio; she was born in Virginia in 1796; they moved to Jefferson Co., this State, in 1849, and settled in this township, where he died in 1875; she in 1878. Members of the Society of Friends.
