ELLIOTT P. TAYLOR, born Aurora, Ill., Dec. 1845, son of Dr. Samuel W. and Jane (Tanner) Taylor; Jane died 1850. Nov. 6, 1867, Elliott P. Taylor married Clara E. Strong; six children;
1-Jennie, m. James Grant, farmer of Cedar Township;
2-Julia, m. Prof. C.D. Mclain of Iowa Wesleyan College;
3-Bernice, m. Ralph A. Billingsley, of Glasgow;
4-Clifford, general store in Glasgow;
5-Maude, died in infancy;
6-Jesse, died Sept. 15, 1889, age 14 yrs.
