WAGONER, HANAWALT, MURRAY, SLAUGHTER

John C. Wagoner, 408 South 1st Ave died yesterday. Mr. Wagoner was 56 years old and is survived by his widow, one son and a daughter. Three children are dead. The body was taken to Colfax this morning for burial.

Obituary Notice

John C. Wagoner A native of Pennsylvania passed away last Saturday at his home in Marshalltown, aged 56 years and 8 days, a victim of paralysis.

When he was ten years old he came to Iowa which was his residence thereafter except 2 years in Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Amanda J. Hanawalt March 23, 1886, and she, with their son, G. W. (should be J. A.) and daughter, Mrs. Mary A. Murray, survive to mourn his loss, three other children having died in infancy. He also leaves a brother, William, of St. Paul, Nebraska; and a sister, Mrs. Aggie Slaughter, of Los Angles, California.

Mr. Wagoner was well known here where he had residend many years, and his wife has the sympathy of all in her loss and bereavement.

The body was brought here (Colfax) for the funeral service which was conducted last Tuesday by Rev. Munyon beside the graves in Slaughter cemetery, where his three children rest. "He is gone but not forgotten; never will our memory fade; sweetest thoughts will ever linger; around the grave where he is laid."
