Evelyn D. Ellison, 67, of Unionville, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1997, at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital.
She was born April 28, 1929, in Ivy, the daughter of Murray and Fern (Gulling) Wicker.
She married Harold Ellison Nov. 5, 1979, in Centerville. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wayne Boland and Brenda of Cincinnati and Jon Boland of Albia; two daughters, Lori Boland of Centerville and Dana Cameron and her husband, Eric, of Coralville; two stepsons, Lee Ellison of Unionville and Richard Ellison of Wamego, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Carol Shahan of Burlington; a sister, Inez Timboe of Clive; a brother, Melvin Wicker and his wife, Marilyn, of Prairie City; six grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother-in-law, Maynard Timboe.
She was a long time resident of Appanoose County. She was a homemaker, a home health aide and a nurse’s aide. She attended the Methodist church and the “Club”. Both in Unionville, Mo. She was a past member of Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the Lange Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery near Prairie City. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
