Prairie City news – Alfred Hanley was born in Kentucky in 1841, and died at his home in Washington township, Jasper county, Iowa, on April 10, 1908, aged 66 years, five months and twenty-eight days. He came to Iowa with his parents when a child, and lived for almost sixty years on the farm where his death occurred.
