OLATHE, Kan. — Walter E. Frizzell, 85, of Olathe, Kan., formerly of Jasper County, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Newton Union Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Kellogg Historical Society, the Kellogg Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.

The son of Walter and Lila Frizzell, he was born Feb. 19, 1920, in Jasper County. He graduated from Hawkeye Technical School in 1968 and also served in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft specialist from 1941 to 1945. He retired from John Deere Product Engineering Center in Waterloo after 36 years of service. He obtained his pilot's license and enjoyed flying homebuilt aircraft.

Survivors include a sister, Ruth Frizzell of Cambria, Calif.; three nieces; and two nephews.
