PRAIRIE CITY — Margaret Marie DeGraff, 89, of Prairie City died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. Burial will be at Waveland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee or the Prairie City Ambulance Fund.
The daughter of Gerrit and Sarah (Boomsma) Vande Kieft, she was born Jan. 11, 1916, in rural Marion County. On Feb. 27, 1945, she was united in marriage to Dale K. DeGraff near Mitchellville. She and her husband were self-employed on their farm for many years prior to their retirement to Prairie City. She also was a member of the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela (John) Farrell of Edwardsville, Ill.; a grandson; a brother, Arthur Vande Kieft of Prairie City; and a sister, Anna B. Vande Kieft of Prairie City; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and brothers, Harold and Albert.
