Clarence W. Frey, 86, of 3004 54th St. died of a kidney ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Highland memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Frey was born in Mingo and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired as a health inspector for the city of Des Moines.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; a son, Donald of Des Moines; two sisters, Bertha Tufts of Bondurant and Grace Baker of Newton; a brother, Burtus of Oskaloosa; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
