Delmer Loren Beard, 85, of Newton died of a heart attack Wednesday at Skiff Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Mr. Beard was born in Mingo and lived in the Prairie City and Newton areas many years. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Leona; and a sister, Verla Shill of Nevada.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time today at Reese Funeral Home in Newton.
