Morrison, Reva Bernice Borts – 1904-1995

Reva Bernice Morrison, age 91, of Collins, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 1995 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, Iowa, of complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Reva was born February 18, 1904 in Mingo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Eli and Bertha Skinner Borts. She has resided in Sigourney for the past 8 ½ years moving there from Collins, Iowa.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 8 at Collins Christian Church. Pastor Mike Lopp conducted the services with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
Reva was married to Clarence Morrison on May 1, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa. Clarence preceded her in death in 1966. Reva is survive by a sister; Zelma Slavens of Sigourney, Iowa; one niece Donna Gilbert of Collins and one nephew, Don Borts of Sigourney.
Reva was a member of the Collins Christian Church, Bridge Club in Collins, Mingo Federated Women’s Club, taught Sunday School for many years. She graduated from Mingo High School, and taught at country schools for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother Paul and a sister Lena.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Collins Christian Church.
