Dies Sunday
Luther Grove died at the hospital at _:30 o'clock Sunday morning, following a surgical operation. He was taken to the hospital Saturday.
He was about fifty-two years of age and for a number of years was engaged in farming. He was born in the Killduff neighborhood and for many years lived in South Dakota. He returned two months ago and had been staying with his sister, Mrs. August Stork, who resides north of town. Besides his sister, he is survived by two brothers, Morris and Monte Grove, of near Baxter.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Killduff Methodist Episcopal church with Rev. Barr as the officiating minister. Interment was made in the Hewitt cemetery.

Luther Groves Buried
Luther Coleman Groves was born in Jasper county, Iowa, July 7, 1868, and died May 1, 1921, at the age of fifty-two years, nine months and twenty-four days.
He was the son of Jacob and Melvina Groves, being the eldest of five children. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gussie Goodhue and Mrs. May Stork, both of Newton, and one brother, Morris Groves, of Baxter. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, having united with the church at Killduff many years ago. Before his death he expressed himself as being ready to go if the call came. He was well known in the Killduff community having worked there for a number of years. He died in Newton Sunday morning following an operation, which was preceded by a brief illness of only a few days.
The funeral was held from the Methodist church in Killduff, Tuesday of last week, the pastor Rev. W. G. Barr, officiating. Interment was made in Hewitt cemetery near Galesburg.
