Rick Lenox, 49, of Fort Dodge, lost his battle with cancer on Dec. 23, 2006.
A private family service is planned for Wednesday, Dec. 27, in Colfax, Iowa. Burial will be in McKeever Cemetery in Colfax. Serving the family is the Heafey-Hoffmann Dworak-Cutler Funeral Home of Omaha, Neb.
Rick was born in Colfax Aug. 28, 1957. He graduated from Marcus High School in 1976 and went to work for Hy-Vee Food Stores in Iowa and then Nebraska. He was employed by various grocery stores in the Omaha area for many years.
He moved to Fort Dodge in 1998 and worked for Mid-Iowa Sign Co. Later, he was employed by NEW Co-op, Fort Dodge Asphalt and then Tassler Pallet until leaving due to his health.
Rick is survived by sons, Tim and Brandon of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Kim (Joe) Wood, Sioux Falls, S.D., Christy Bryant, Vineland, N.J., Wendy Bryant, Omaha; two brothers, Jim Lenox of Tarnow, Neb., Mel (Ann) Lenox of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Georgena Bryant.
