Chris Crenshaw, 45, passed away at his home in Newton on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Chris will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory to honor the memories and the joy he brought to so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Chris.

Chris was a beloved member of his community and a dedicated employee at Hy-Vee grocery store, where his friendly demeanor and work ethic were admired by both his colleagues and customers alike.

Chris had a passion for life that was evident in his love of playing golf, where he found joy and camaraderie on the greens. He cherished hard work and was known for his commitment to both his job and his family. Above all, Chris valued time spent with his fiancé, Stephanie, creating memories that will be held dear by those who knew him.

Chris leaves behind his cherished children, Chris Crenshaw, Jr. and Myah Crenshaw, who were the lights of his life. He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Theresa and David Koets; his siblings and nieces and nephews whom he loved, Carrie Race and her son, Charlie; Tim and Margaret Bartlett and Tim’s children, Reagan, Sam, and Max, along with their mother, Andrea; and Tory and Michelle Bartlett and their children, Tory, Michael, and Thomas.

Chris will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will carry his spirit, warmth, light, and laughter in their hearts.
