INDIANOLA - Marvin E. Van Wyk, 49, of Indianola, formerly of Jasper County, died Friday, June 20, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held today at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Sully. Burial will be at Sully Cemetery. Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella is handling arrangements.

Memorials will be accepted to the Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola.

The son of Herbert and Marie Van Wyk, he was born Dec. 28, 1953, in Oskaloosa. He lived in Marshalltown, Rock Valley and Sully. He was a resident of Indianola for 26 years. He was employed by Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola.

Survivors include his parents, Herbert and Marjorie Van Wyk of Pella; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Jerald and Dorothy of Pella, Silvan and Jeana of Rapid City, Harley and Jan of Pella, Dennis of Los Angeles, Calif., and Dwayne Ramer of Sully; an aunt; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
