Malvina Young Died At Iowa City Sunday
Malvina Lorrina Young, 42, died at the University hospital in Iowa City Sunday afternoon, December 5th about 3:15, shortly after her arrival at that place. She had been taken to Iowa City earlier in the day, and died of blood clots of the lungs.
Born December 24, 1912 in this city, the daughter of Lyman and Zola Hannawalt Young, she had spent her entire life in Colfax. Even though in failing health for several years, the end came quite suddenly Sunday.
Survivors besides her mother are two brothers, George of New Brighton, Minn., and Delbert of Colfax and two sisters, Mrs. Earl Miller of Clive, Ia., and Mrs. Carl Webb of this city.
Funeral services will be held at the Bumgardner Funeral Home today (Thursday), at 2:00 with Rev. W. L. Hawn, pastor of the Methodist church officiating.
Music will be furnished by Mrs. LaVerne Woods, soloist with Mrs. Frank B. Evans, accompanist.
Those in charge of floral arrangements are Mrs. Millburn Deaton, Mrs. William Muck and Mrs. Faye Clark.
Burial will be in the McKeever cemetery.
