Robinette "Robbie" DeReus
August 17, 1932 - May 10, 2024

F. Robinette “Robbie” DeReus, former resident of Reasnor and Monroe, passed away at the age of 91 on May 10, 2024, at the Westhaven Community in Boone. She was surrounded by her five children.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. May 25, 2024, at Silent City Cemetery, Monroe. A time of food and fellowship will follow from 11:00 – 1:00 at Monroe Presbyterian Church. Coburn Funeral Homes are handling the arrangements.

Robbie was born on August 17, 1932, in Marion County to Charlotte Pearl Warner and Charles Edgar Ross. She was married to Raymond DeReus on October 8, 1950. Ray and Robbie were lifelong farmers in Jasper County until their retirement in 1991. Robbie was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed helping Ray with his woodworking projects and attending Blue Grass and Gospel music festivals with Ray and their friends; reading, crochet, cross-stitch, and jigsaw and word search puzzles. She was a member of the Jasper County Farm Bureau, SPBGMA and volunteered at the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad. Her happiest times were those spent with family and friends.

Robinette is survived by her children: Rita Neve of Booneville, Arkansas; Bonnie (Ed) Logan, Linda Taylor, Lori (Dan) Haynes and Ronald (Dorathy) DeReus, all of Boone. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Robinette was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Robbie’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
