Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. this morning (Wednesday) at the State Center United Methodist Church for Joseph W. Streeter, 69, of State Center who died Sunday at Marshalltown Area Community Hospital. The Rev. Nancy Nichols is in charge of the service and Brimhall-West Funeral Home of the arrangements. Burial will follow in Ashton Chapel Cemetery at Mingo.
A native of Wheatland, OK, he was born the son of John and Melissa Stock Streeter. He spent his early life in Oklahoma and Iowa and graduated from Collins High School. He farmed near State Center, then operated the food locker there until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife, Ruth. He is survived by one brother, Homer Streeter, State Center.
Pallbearers are Ronald Streeter, Donald Streeter, Larry Streeter, Gary Streeter, Max Streeter and Dave Henze.
