Vint Harshner, 68, farmer living three miles south of Newton on Highway 14, died Tuesday a.m. His death, the cause of which had not been determined early Tues. afternoon, occurred about 8:30 o'clock. He was found about 9:20 o'clock where he had fallen near the barn.
F. W. Brown, tenant on the Harshner farm, discovered the body and promptly called the neighbors and a physician. Coroner Ralph V. Toland was called.
Mr. Harshner had complained of stomach trouble Monday morning.
He always was a resident of Jasper county. His wife died in February, 1940.
Surviving are a brother, Will and two sisters, Lilly Harshner and Mrs. Rose Dickerson of Newton. A brother John preceded him in death.
