Hold Rites For Mrs. Sally Good Here on Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Good, who died Saturday at the Skiff Memorial hospital, were conducted at the Morgan Funeral home Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Frank M. Blish, pastor of the First Congregational church.
Pallbearers were William Kirkpatrick, Louis Schultz, Charles Kirkpatrick, Frank Spain, M. J. Carnahan and Harmen Zwank.
A quartet of Mrs. Louis Broderson, Mrs. Louie Vander Pol, George and Clarence Took, accompanied by Mrs. Lillie Guthrie, sang “Jesus, Lover of My Soul” and “Lead Kindly Light.”
Mrs. Sally Good was born Jan. 25, 1857, in Nashville, Tenn. After the war she came with her parents and brother Edward to Illinois. She was married to Isaac Good who died while they lived in Illinois.
She then came to Iowa where the family had moved in 1881.
No children were born to this union but a son and daughter had been adopted, but both preceded the father in death.
She was a member of the Congregational church.
Surviving are a brother, and three sisters, W. H. Shriner and Amelia Shriner of Reasnor, Olive Shriner of Des Moines and Mrs. C. A. Malmberg of Iowa City. An only niece is Miss Aleta Malmberg of Iowa City.
