Richard Ganley Dies in Chicago; Rites Saturday
Richard Ganley, about 50, died Tuesday morning at 7:30 o’clock in Chicago, Ill., where he had been a patient since Sept. 30.
The body is being returned to Newton this evening and funeral services have been tentatively set for Saturday morning.
Mr. Ganley, who resided in Leeper’s Addition west of Newton, had been a resident of this town for the past 20 years and was foreman at the Newton foundry for 13 years.
He was a member of the Catholic church and of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the World War.
Surviving are his widow and a step-son, Boyce Carpenter, three grandchildren of Newton, and also a father and two brothers in Des Moines.
