Mrs. Baxter Dies Today
Mrs. W. A. Baxter, 47, suffered a heart attack at her home at 403 East Second street South shortly before noon today and died about 1:38 o’clock. She was taken to the Skiff Memorial Hospital about 1:00 o’clock.
Mrs. Baxter is survived by her husband and a sister, Mrs. Bruce Illingsworth of Newton and another sister, Mrs. P. M. Browning in Enders, Nebr.

Hold Rites for Mrs. Baxter
Funeral services for Mrs. W. A. Baxter, 47, who died last Thursday at the Skiff Memorial hospital, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Morgan Funeral home. Interment was in the Newton Union cemetery with the Rev. W. W Johnson, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, in charge.
Pallbearers were E. S. Knowles, Charles Speed, Roy Snook, Jud Hersman, Joe Doyle and Fay Harper.
Mrs. B. H. Chesnutt and Mrs. Roy Messick were in charge of he flowers.
Music was furnished by Mrs. F. E. McClean accompanied by Mrs. Edgar Sabin. She sang “Sometime We’ll Understand”, and “The 23rd Psalm”.
