Mary Anne Loupee, 86, the daughter of Roland and Anita (Flescher) Bansemer, was born January 17, 1938, near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her family moved to Newton, Iowa, when she was 15. She was Homecoming Queen her senior year at Newton Senior High School. She graduated from Newton, and attended several years at Iowa University (University of Northern Iowa).

Mary Anne was united in marriage with Larry C. Loupee, and this union was given two children, Margie and Mike. She had devoted her life to her family and friends, and had attended the Lutheran Church

Mary Anne passed away Friday afternoon, February 16, 2024, at Newton Health Care, under the care of Hospice.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Larry on October 2, 2019.

Graveside services and burial for Mary Anne will be at a later date at the Newton Union Cemetery. Pence – Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials are being designated in Mary Anne’s name, to her family, and can be left at the funeral home.

Those left to honor Mary Anne’s memory include her son Mike (Rachei) Loupee; a daughter Margie; her five grandchildren; a sister Alice Mosby; and her many extended family and friends.
