December 25, 1998 ~ February 10, 2024 (age 25)

Brandon Lee Crandall, 25, of Newton, died Saturday, February 10, 2024, in Newton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Believers in Grace United Pentecostal Church in Newton. The family will greet friends from 9:30-11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, at the church. Memorials in Brandon’s name (please make checks payable to Maddy Crandall) can be left at the church on the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton.

Brandon, the son of Daniel and Rebecca (Kuhn) Crandall, was born December 25, 1998, in Fort Dodge. He grew up in Fort Dodge and was a 2018 graduate of Fort Dodge High School. After graduation Brandon joined JobCorps, where he learned carpentry and woodworking. He then joined his family’s business, Skyline Tree Experts, where he was the 4th generation of his family to work as a climber and tree trimmer. Brandon was united in marriage with Madelyn Brown on December 4, 2022, in Newton. He was a member of the Believers in Grace United Pentecostal Church. Brandon enjoyed fishing and hunting when he could find the time. He was a gun enthusiast who believed in exercising his rights and defending his freedoms. Brandon was a very hard worker in every area of his life (except washing dishes.) He was selfless and was always considerate of other people’s needs, always putting others first and willing to help in any situation. He loved his family deeply.

Those left to honor Brandon’s memory include his wife, Maddy of Newton; his mother, Rebecca (Loren) Miller of Osceola; his siblings: Ashley (Stuart) Keener, Amber Crandall, DJ (Kelsey) Crandall, and Nick Crandall (Laney Rees); his nieces and nephews: Kaylin, Karleigh, Kelsee, and Alan Keener; Tayvion, King, and D’avonni Crandall; Owen, Charlotte, Israel, Ramona, Sophia, and Gunther Crandall; and one on the way; his grandma, Judy Nepper; his parents-in-law, Melissa Brown (Rob Nelson) and Scott Brown (Renee Misceo); sister-in-law, Grace Brown; Maddy’s grandma, Pamela Sockriter; Maddy’s great-aunt, Julie Illingworth; his aunts and uncles; and 11 cousins.

Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Crandall; grandparents: Gerald Kuhn, Bernice Crandall, Lois and Harold Kuhn, Ramona Crandall, and his Grandpa Mehring.
