Larry Glen Hickman, age 83 of Otley, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Maynes Grove Cemetery near Bradford, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family and checks made payable to Mary Hickman. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of Glen and Carrie (Miller) Hickman, Larry was born on September 2, 1940, in Milo, Iowa. He graduated from Drake University in 1964. During college he worked at a grocery store. Following graduation, he went to work as a CPA in Chicago, Illinois. In 1967, he moved back to Des Moines for work. In 1970, he went to work on the family farm near Indianola, after his dad passed away, as well as being a CPA. In 1960, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Mc Cormick. They divorced in 1978. Larry left the farm and went to work at Rolscreen in Pella, where he stayed until his retirement. On January 28, 1994, he married Mary (Van Hove) Marshall in Las Vegas, Nevada. Larry was a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Mary; a son, Rod (Cindy) Hickman; a daughter, Sharla Hickman; step son, Mike (Tammy) Marshall; a step daughter, Connie Owen; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Melvin Hickman and three sisters, Alice ROgers, Mary Helen Hickman and Lila Mack.
