Jerry Ronald Keller, age 81, of Monroe, Iowa, met his Lord and Savior on December 3, 2023. A graveside service will be held at Dunreath Cemetery in the spring. An exact service date will be posted in advance. Cards for Jerry’s family may be mailed to Coburn Funeral Home at 24 W. Howard St. Colfax, IA 50054. The son of Victor Eugene Keller and Helen Gayle Clark, Jerry was born on July 31, 1942, in Monroe, Iowa. Jerry grew up in Monroe and graduated from Monroe High School in 1960. He had many skills but worked primarily in the tree service industry.

Jerry was a Christian, loved his Lord and loved his family – everything else was a distant second. He was self-sacrificing, had a giver’s heart, and bonds of friendship ran deep. His unwavering sense of humor and quick wit brought smiles to others. He was an avid lover of Johnny Cash, fan of old-time classic country music and always ready to beat you in a game of cribbage.

Those left to honor Jerry’s memory include his children; Wendy (Lindsay) Ellis, Lynda Keller, Gayle (Christian) Kline, and Beau Keller Sr., his grandkids; Kristian, Austin, Carter, Jerod, Camryn, Audrey, Braden, Cydney, Jerry “Duke II,” and Beau Jr., 13 great grandkids, his siblings; Betty Karr and Ben Keller, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jerry in death were his parents, one son; Jerry Lee “Duke” Keller, a grandson; Jacob Dale Johnson, a great grandson; Grayson Ryder Johnson, and two brothers; Dennis Keller and Bob Keller.
