Tammy Sue, 60, formerly of Newton, died Wednesday evening Oct. 25, 2023, in Douds, |Iowa.

Graveside services for Tammy are planned for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Mount Zion Cemetery rural Newton. A Luncheon to follow will be held at the Christian Conference Center, 5064 – Lincoln Street, rural Newton. The Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, was entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Tammy was born in Newton to Dwight L. and Kathy (Snook) Van Roekel on July 7, 1963, in Newton. She had attended Newton Senior High School.

Tammy enjoyed cooking, working outdoors, spending time with the dogs, Gator UTV rides, playing cards and socializing with friends.

Tammy is survived by her daughter Nicole Koehn; granddaughter Aaliyah; a sister Laurie Kubal; nieces: Lyndsi Pratt and Aubri Deirlein and her many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel “Sharpy” Sharp; her parents: Dwight and Kathy Van Roekel; and a sister Kristy Mullinnix.
