James Moll, a coal digger at No. 4 shaft of the Diagonal Coal Company’s mine, was caught under a huge mass of falling slate on the afternoon of the 12th instant and received injuries to his spine which caused his death last Friday evening. The funeral last Sunday was conducted by Rev. Cozier, and the remains were interred in Poweshiek cemetery. Mr. Moll was 45 years of age ad was born and raised near the scene of his death.
