Colfax – Funeral services for Frederick N. “Ted” McKeever, 76, of Newton, a lifelong resident of Colfax and Newton, were held today, Dec. 16, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Jerry Harris, pastor of the Colfax Baptist Church, conducted services and burial was in McKeever Cemetery north of Colfax.
Mr. McKeever died Saturday at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are two sisters, Dorothy Donaldson and Norma (Mrs. Park) Pierce, both of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William.
Mr. McKeever, a retired Maytag Co. employee, was a member of the United Auto Workers, Local 997, and Jones-Willis Post of the American Legion in Colfax.
He was an army veteran of World War II.
The son of Joseph and Minnie Gibson McKeever, he was born Oct. 28, 1915 in Colfax.
He was a resident of Newton for the past 20 years.
