It as a sad assemblage which congregated at the M. E. church in Valeria last Saturday. On the altar rested two tiny flower-laden caskets containing the mortal remains of baby Baker, one year, and George Mackey four weeks old. Rev. Erwin conducted a most impressive service and the little forms were laid away to rest.
Baby Baker, was the son of Elmer Baker and wife, and was prostrated with his fatal illness while with his mother visiting her sister, Mrs. Chad McCracken, at Valeria, everything affection could devise or science suggest was done without avail; he passed away last Friday – death coming as a merciful ending to his sufferings.
