Relatives and friends attended the funeral of Comrade George Salmon, Sr. Thursday at Valeria. Interment was at Graham Cemetery. Mr. Salmon was nearly seventy-seven years of age and had lived in this part of the county many years, coming from his birthplace, Summitt, Ill.
Besides his widow he leaves five children, William Salmon, George Salmon, Mrs. Charles Winslow, Mrs. William Quinn, and Miss Elizabeth Salmon, all of whom were near and cared for him in his last days.
