Elsie Hutchinson Dies;
Services conducted Today

Kellogg: Mrs. Lloyd W. (Elsie M.) Hutchinson, 74, of Kellogg, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Friday evening at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.

Funeral services were held today at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.

Father Frederick Kramer, rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton, conducted services. Burial was in Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Lloyd Hutchinson Jr. of New Lisbon, Wis., and Larry Hutchinson of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Doris) Froah of Newton, Mrs. Paul (Arlene) Myers of Newton and Mrs. Gary (Marilyn) Rutledge of Clear Lake.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter and Glen Koppin, both of rural Newton, three sisters, Mrs. Claire (Goldie) Schnell of Lynnville, Mrs. Virgil (Esther) Lincoln of Grinnell and Mrs. Thomas (Gladys) Birchard of Hillsboro, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy, Rodger James Hutchinson; and three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Clara) Allen, Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Brooks and Rose Koppin.

The daughter of Charles and Lena Brune Koppin, she was born July 28, 1903, in Jasper County.

She was married Dec. 27, 1922 at the First United Methodist Church in Newton.
