Timothy E. Hay, 77, of Mingo passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022, in Des Moines. Tim is survived by wife: Mary; and three children: Thomas Hay, Julie Sparks, and Tedi Davis.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Farrar United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Graham Cemetery near Mingo. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at the Rasmusson Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Graham Cemetery and/or the Collins Fire and Rescue. Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.rasmussonfh.com

Timothy E. Hay, 77, of rural Mingo, Iowa, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Tim was born November 29, 1945, in Des Moines, the son of Gussford and Dorothy (Hennick) Hay. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Iowa State University in 1969. Tim was united in marriage to Mary Frost in Leon, Iowa on October 4, 1969. Tim was a farmer; a member of the Farrar United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer for the building fund, and a board member of Graham Cemetery. He was a former member of the Mustang Car Club, and a former board member of the Farmers Co-Op in Bondurant. He was an avid Iowa State Cyclone and Chicago Cubs fan. Tim loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and playing cards. With Mary, together they loved “snowbirding” in Arizona for many years, and also enjoyed many bus trips over the years.
Tim is survived by his wife, Mary of Mingo; a son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Shonda Hay of Maxwell; two daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and Chad Sparks of Mingo, Tedi and Terry Davis of Altoona; three grandchildren: Emma Hay, Cody Hay, Landon Sparks; and a sister: Sandy Tanberg. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sharon Hay.
