Marie A. Lowe, 92, of 2110 E. 13th St. died of smoke inhalation Tuesday in a fire at home. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lowe, born in Adair, had lived most of her life in Des Moines, where she retired as the owner of Model Laundry.
Surviving are a son, Jim of Des Moines; a daughter, Jean Dunn of Kilgore, Texas; a sister, Helen Connett of Pryor, Okla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
