Cora Marie (Ware) Knight, 68, died March 25, 2005, at home in Buena Park, CA, of cancer. She was born September 29, 1935 in Polk County on a farm near Runnells. She was the daughter of Ora Ware and Opal Marie (Anderson) Ware. She attended Camp #2 school until moving to Runnells in 1945. She attended Runnells High School until 1953.
Marie was united in marriage to Floyd William Knight on July 11, 1953, in Leon, IA. She was also a member of the Runnells Christian Church and was baptized there in 1952.
Marie is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Marie Wilson of Yorba Linda, CA, Kandy Michelle Knight of Placentia, CA, and Kerry Melinda Ross of Fallon, NV; one brother, Robert Ora Ware of Lakewood, CA; and a niece and nephew, Cathy Elaine Ware and Ronald Allen Ware, both of Anaheim, CA. She also has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 East Lyon Street. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery immediately following the service.
