Funeral Monday For Cyril Cronk
Services for Cyril Clement Cronk, 49, for 2749 Indianapolis Ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery.
Mr. Cronk, foreman for the Des Moines Water Works, was electrocuted Thursday when a crane used in construction came in contact with a 13,000 volt power line near Valley Drive and Park Avenue.
A native of Effingham, Ill., Mr. Cronk came to Des Moines from Illinois 28 years ago. He was a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ida Mae; two sons, Earl and Richard Cronk, daughter, Mrs. Pauline Hutt, all of Des Moines; mother, Mrs. Amy Cronk, Elgin, Ill.; two brothers, Cecil Cronk, Cedar Rapids, and Elza Cronk, Peoria, Ill.; half-brother, John James, Elgin; sister, Mrs. Mattie Rouse, Kankakee, Ill.; and half-sister, Mrs. Ethel Harshberger, Atwood, Ill., and two grandchildren.
