Marcella Mae Kain
May 7, 1926 - September 3, 2022

Marcella Kain, age 96 of Runnells, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Taylor House in Des Moines. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 10:30 AM at the Prairie City Church of the Brethren. The family will greet friends following the burial at the church. Memorials may be made out to the Percy Fair, Runnells Senior Center, Pleasant Hill Church, Prairie City Church of the Brethren or Taylor House in Des Moines. She was the daughter of Charles Kingery and Ruthie Sander, and later Marie. Marcella was born on May 7, 1926 in Percy. On October 30, 1943, she was united in marriage to Cloman Kain in Unionville, Missouri. She worked at DeWitt’s Supervalue and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church.

Those left to honor her memory are her children, Aaron (Sharon) Kain, Roger (Barbie) Kain, daughter-in-law Mary Kain; six grandchildren, Jodi (Jon), Jami (Jason), Hanah (Tim), Abbi (Jonathan), Eli (Sasha), Haley (Tyler), and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Jack (Blanche) Kingery, Clinna Rae Culbertson, Sharon Weldon, and Alvin Kingery; three sisters-in-law, Leta Kingery, Noni Kain, and Marlene McReynolds.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Cloman; sons, Darrell, Gerald “Hot Rod” and James; siblings, Mina Roberts, Leo Kingery, and Charlene Hulgan.
