Norma Jean Deitrick
March 1, 1938 - September 1, 2022

Norma Jean (Stevens) Deitrick, age 84 of Otley, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at home. The daughter of Bryan and Lucile (Warren) Stevens, Norma was born on March 1, 1938 at home in Adel Iowa. She graduated from Perry High School in 1956. On February 1, 1958 she was united in marriage to Clifton Deitrick at the Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Norma was a loving wife and mother. She worked at Bankers Trust in Des Moines until the kids came, then she and Cliff owned and operated Trails End Resort in Branson MO. After moving back to Iowa, she later worked at the Colfax Bank. She also worked at American Republic Insurance from February of 1980 until her retirement in March of 2003.

In retirement, she enjoyed traveling around antiquing with Cliff, collecting many treasures along the way, and vacationing in Colorado. She loved her flower garden, tending to it until her back finally said no more.

Those left to honor her memory are her children, Brenda (Rusty) Zimmerman and Douglas Deitrick; three grandchildren, Leressa (Cody) Lamberson, Bryanna (Jordon Kopp) Deitrick and Jacob (Tayloranne McGruder) Deitrick; four great grandchildren, Sawyer, Breen, Rhett, and Oaklee. Sisters Martha (Frank) Godwin and Nancy (Mike) Flynn. Preceding her in death were her husband Cliff, her parents, sister June Garrett, and daughter in law Candy Deitrick.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. The family will greet friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the PCM Food Pantry or Helping Hands and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
