A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held at a later date.

Carlotta Sue Taylor, the daughter of James and Zylphia (Gray) Boatright was born on November 5, 1945 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She lived in Enid, Oklahoma for 22 years, moving to Newton, Iowa in 1967.

On December 22, 1962, Sue was united in marriage with Larry R. McKinney. They were blessed with two children, Brian and Brenda. Sue was later united in marriage with Edward L. Taylor on April 14, 1973 in Newton. They were blessed with a son, Brandon.

Sue worked many years and had several different jobs for the Newton Community School District, she was a custodian when she retired in 2008. Sue loved going to her grandkids activities. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her good friend, Judy. Sue also enjoyed doing wordsearch puzzles and watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies. She was a loving and caring wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend.

Sue died on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home in Newton. She was 76. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Taylor in 1986 and her siblings.

Those left to cherish Sue’s memory are her children Brian (Lisa) McKinney of Newton, Brenda (Scott) Chisholm of Newton and Brandon (Amber) Taylor of Newton; six grandchildren, Kelsey (Chance) Williams, Katie Chisholm (Gabe Coady), Lilly Taylor, Manolis and John Galanakis and Kenny Skinner-Havens; her three great-grandchildren, Eli, Lilliana and Avery; many nieces and nephews and her special friends, Judy, Linda, Kim, Sylvia, Donna and many others.
