Jennie E. Lanser Dies Saturday; Services Tuesday
Killduff – Mrs. Arie (Jennie Elizabeth) Lanser, 71, of Rt. 3, Newton, a lifelong resident of the Killduff-Sully community, died Saturday at her farm residence near Killduff.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed Church in Newton.
The Rev. Donald Draayer, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions to the Christian Reformed Church will be accepted.
Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband; four children, Mrs. George (Wilma) Carson of Newton; Harry W. of Sully, Louis of Newton and W. Dean Lanser of Newton, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. James (Nellie) Talsma of Colfax and Mrs. Alice Vonk of Sully, a half-brother, William Zuidema of Sully and a stepbrother, John Zuidema of Sully.
The daughter of William and Alice Baarda, she was born Sept. 11, 1905 near Killduff.
She was married Feb. 19, 1924.
