Ernest Schrull Dies Thursday; Rites Monday
Ernest I. Schrull, 64, of 322 N. 15th Ave. W., a lifelong resident of Newton, died Thursday evening.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o’clock Monday morning at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. William C. Hamilton, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will conduct services.
Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
Survivors are a son, Jerry Allen; a daughter, Mrs. Bernie (Patricia) Stoulil of Newton; four grandchildren; and a brother, Delbert of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Isabelle Mar. 19, 1972; and two brothers, Earl and Otha.
Mr. Schrull, a retired member of the UAW Local 997, was a veteran of World War II.
He was a Maytag Co. employe for 27 years, retiring Nov. 30, 1974.
The son of Irvin Francis and Martha Ellen Hannagan Schrull, he was born June 10, 1912 in Newton.
He was married to Isabelle C. Ponder Sept. 6, 1936 in Unionville, Mo.
