Peter McIntosh, Former Newton Resident, Dies
Peter J. McIntosh, 76, of Anamosa, a former resident of Newton, died Monday at the Anamosa Community Hospital.
Funeral series will be held at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa.
Graveside rites will be conducted at 3:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Newton memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Wilma; four daughters, Mrs. Carol Davis of Virginia Beach, Va., Mrs. Gael (Linda) Duckworth of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Terry (Ruth) Shelton of Plano, Ill., and Wanda McIntosh of Rochester, N.Y.; six grandchildren; a brother, Theodore McIntosh of Ottumwa; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Caster of Ottumwa.
Mr. McIntosh was an employe of the Maytag Co. for 25 years.
He was married to Wilma Evert, Sept. 20, 1946 in Newton.
